About Us
The purpose of the Young Lawyers’ Section is to stimulate interest of young and recently admitted attorneys in the objectives of the Broward County Bar Association and to promote professional and social understanding and cooperation among the members of the legal community. The Young Lawyers’ Section strives to contribute to the educational and professional advancement of attorneys, particularly the younger members of the Bar, as well as contribute to the betterment of the community in general through charity functions and projects. For example, the Young Lawyers’ Section annually sponsors charity events such as
Holiday
in January for disadvantage and foster care children and a monthly luncheon lecture series. We also have monthly social events and special events throughout the year including our Golf Tournament in October, our Judicial Reception in April and our Family Day in May.
To be eligible for membership in The Young Lawyers’ Section, an attorney must be under the age of thirty-six years of age or a member of the bar for less than five years. The applications can be obtained at www.browardbar.org or by calling or emailing Art Goldberg, Executive Director at (954) 764-8040 or artg@browardbar.org.
